What is Youth2Youth?

Youth 2 Youth Peer Advocates primary goal is to provide teenagers with positive skill developing experience. It is intended to enable teenagers to grow with leadership skills, self-confidence, and a desire to help others in the community and surrounding world.

Peer advocates are:

  • Mentors to younger youth in the community

  • Trained in issues related to youth in order to help those in need of support

  • Students helping others in times of hardships and offer a helping hand

  • A special group on people that participate in community events at:

    • Spooner House

    • Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilition Center

    • Lower Naugatuck Valley Boys and Girls Club

    • Shelton Senior center

    • TEAM inc.
